This past Monday new and old youth organizers (YO) came together to open up a new year of programming. With our forces united, we were able to set a foundation of community agreements, YO goals, and a solid recruitment plan. The process of recruiting new blood into the SEACA family is a crucial part of the YO work. As one of our YO, Daisy, puts it, “SEACA is a like sea that keep people together/ that the tides take us and bring us together / we are the fishes inside the sea.” Soon we’ll be welcoming new Youth Leadership Project members for our Open House in September.
